WHITE ON BLACK:
I think this looks quite nice and professional. However, a lot of websites use it and it doesn't really stand out and feel creative to me, so I don't think I will use this one. One of the websites I looked at used a black background and white text. It looked professional but it wasn't very fun and eye catching apart from the pictures and videos they uploaded. BLACK ON WHITE:
This colour scheme looks very professional. However, as with the white on black, it is a very over used colour scheme, which is not very eye catching and is quite boring. Two of the portfolios I researched used this as their main colours but they added lots of pictures to break it up. I don't think I want to use this colour scheme as I want my work to be different and reflect me, which is more pink than plain. |
BLACK ON PINK:
I quite like this. Pink is my favourite colour so to have it as the main colour would make the website reflect around me and the things I like. I do think it looks quite unprofessional though. It feels as if it would be a portfolio belonging to a young person (which it will be) but I don't feel it would make myself 'look good online' so I will avoid using this if I can. PINK ON WHITE:
I think this looks quite good, and it feels professional. Unlike the black on white it is different. The text is still easy to read and it is quite eye catching. It is simple and reflects my favourite colour which makes it personal. Through using this colour scheme I could also use a black font to break it up a little if necessary. |
PINK ON BLACK:
I also think this looks quite good. It feels very professional but quirky as pink isn't often used on top of black. I could also use the white font on this background so it could work quite well if I was to use it. |
WHITE ON PINK:
I don't like this one at all. It is not very professional and it is very difficult to read. If the person reading your portfolio cannot read anything about you it will lessen your chances of getting a job so I am not going to use this colour scheme. |
